Alicia & Shaun are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I had the privilege of meeting up with them last fall for their engagements and I instantly felt comfortable around them. They tease each other a lot which is something I love. That’s how my husband and I are, we always give each other a hard time…in a fun way. I love people who laugh a lot and don’t take life too seriously. Also, Shaun loves bourbon so we’ve got that in common and they both love dogs. In fact, both of them made their dogs part of their getting ready process. It was important for them to get pictures with their dogs. Love it!!
Their wedding was scheduled for this summer and was the first wedding I had coming out of the pandemic shutdown. Surprisingly, they were not a reschedule. They were fortunate to get to proceed as planned. Doing my first wedding after so much time at home alone had me a little overly enthusiastic about shooting weddings and I shot all the things. In fact, it took me so long to blog this wedding because I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of images I ended up delivering. When I say myself and my second were ready to get back at it, I truly mean it.
They had a gorgeous ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station, TX. This was my first time photographing a wedding here and I’m in love with all the natural light that streams in through the windows! This church is also beautifully designed. Catholic churches are always a favorite for me if you have a church ceremony because the churches are usually full of beautiful details. Their reception was at Moore Ranch on the Brazos and this venue does not disappoint. The open spaces and the live oak trees make for an amazing Texas background.
Congratulations to Alicia & Shaun! I’m so honored to have been a part of their love story. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and I can’t wait to see where life takes you.
