A Story of Passion and Purpose

My journey as an artist began with a simple camera I received at age six. I used roll after roll of film to capture imaginary worlds and stories, much to the dismay of my mother’s bank account. While my creative path took a detour through Texas A&M University, where I earned a degree in Poultry Science (yes, I’m an Aggie-WHOOP), my soul always knew what I was meant to do. Taking pictures and documenting my life has been a constant part of who I am as a person. This passion has fueled my journey throughout the years and led me to being a full time photographer.

Now, as a professional photographer, I get to use my art to tell your story. My approach is rooted in calming your anxieties and finding beauty in every moment. I’ve honed this skill in my 17 years as a wedding photographer.

What I Bring to Your Wedding Day

My life is a beautiful mix of creativity and chaos, much like the weddings I photograph. My family, which consists of my husband of 18 years and our two lively kids, fill our home with noise and laughter. I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Animals are a big part of who I am. Our home is always full of pets. If you have a dog, I’ll be the first one to greet them with my best “good dog” voice and a pocket full of treats. I believe the best photos happen when everyone, including your furry family members, feel comfortable and happy.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me outside. I’m usually running and training for marathons, or simply enjoying nature through hiking, camping, kayaking, or gardening. I’m a person who thrives on new experiences, which is why I love weddings- each one is as unique as the couple celebrating it. This passion for creativity and my ability to embrace the unexpected are what I bring to every wedding day.

My job is more than taking photos; it’s being your biggest supporter on your wedding day.

Here’s what I won’t do:

I will never ask you to pretend. I’ll capture the real moments that make your day special.
Your wedding day will never be about me. This day is about your love story, not my social media or an agenda.
My agenda will never supersede your wishes. We’ll work together to make your vision a reality.
I won’t let you feel awkward or uneasy with me. I’ll do everything in my power to ease your anxiety in front of my lens.

Here’s what I will do:

I will always make sure you are looking and feeling your best.
Navigating family photos smoothly so you can get to the celebration faster is my specialty.
Running interference for unexpected challenges will always be my job.
I will notice when you need a break and step in to give you a moment to breathe.
On your wedding day, I am your go-to person for everything from a quick snack to a sewing kit.

Above all, my goal is to make sure you get to the ceremony on time and truly get to enjoy your day.

  Jamie was amazing from the start! We had a shorter engagement we scheduled our engagement session as soon as possible. Our scheduled date came and it poured rain all day, with our short timeline we didn't want to reschedule. Our pictures in the rain were STUNNING. Jamie made us both feel super comfortable. I also did a boudoir shoot, I was a little nervous for. Jamie made me feel comfortable and beautiful the whole time. If you're unsure whether you want to do a boudoir shoot or not, I highly encourage you to, it really boosted my body image. Our wedding was a little chaotic but Jamie was the glue that held it all together. All of the pictures came out beautifully. My husband and I both agreed that it was well worth the investment, not regrets, we will cherish all of these photos forever!
